We teach the 24-step Yang style Tai Chi form.
This is the traditional 24-step form practiced by the Chinese National Tai Chi Association and recommended by Soke Kanazawa.
Tai Chi is the opposite of karate in many ways and so provides a contrast and balance to one’s training. The 24-step form can be learnt very quickly and takes approximately 5 minutes to perform.
At Kobukan we practise Tai Chi for a 30 minute session on the 3rd Tuesday of each month 7.30 – 8.00 pm before karate training.
